The installation kit includes six heavy duty screws to secure the rack into the wall studs..  If yours is a wooden (Queenslander-style) or brick veneer home, a stud finder may be required to mount and secure the two primary shelf support plates to your garage wall.  The shelving support arms (pipes) are simply inserted into the holes in the shelves are secured by small brackets.  Learn more

As time goes by and you accumulate more ‘stuff’ you’re likely going to need more storage as opposed to less.  With this in mind, we suggest you guesstimate on the high side.  With that in mind here are the specs on FlexiStorage Plus wall racks.

• The 8 large shelf configurations adds an extra 4 square meter of wall space and 1 square meter of floor space. Total of 5 square meters per rack.
• 2 x racks will add 8 square meters.
• One two car accommodate 5-6 racks providing an extra 32sqm nearly doubling the amount of free space in your garage.

Brick veneer is the most common type of construction for Australian homes. Wooden Queenslander homes are also popular or double brick homes is very common around certain parts like WA. If you live in a wooden or brick veneer home, you will need to use a stud finder.  You’ll find them at a local hardware store for around $30.  A stud finder is not necessary in double brick walls.  If you’re still not sure, ask a local expert.  Regardless of whether you install FlexiStorage Plus or not, it’s always good to know how your home’s constructed.

The racks get secured to the walls with 6 x bugle screws.  The small holes in the wall created by these screws can be easily filled and painted over.  But at the end of the day you’re either going to live in your home forever or one day sell it.  If you’re in your home for keeps then the value of having FlexiStorage Plus will serve you indefinitely.  Should you decide to sell or rent it, having the FlexiStorage Plus storage system will add value to the home.  You win no matter what.

Here’s a step by step guide to reorganizing.

1. If there are cars in your garage, pull them out into the driveway.
2. Remove all larger items such as lawn mower(s), exercise equipment, etc.
3. As you move items away from the walls into the center of the garage put them in two groups. (1) Must keep (2) Must go.

Looking at the ‘must keep’ group you can see which items will require longer shelving, shorter shelving.  Now you can decide what items you will need to place on a longer rack by placing the wall plates further apart. Shorter items work better on racks that is installed where the wall plates is around 450mm apart. 

Now that all the items you’re going to keep are neatly organized on your FlexiStorage Plus shelves, decide how you want to rid yourself of what’s in the ‘Must Go’ pile.  Maybe a yard sale?  Maybe donate them to a local charitable organization?

The FlexiStorage system perfect to accommodate vertical storage needs such as surfboards. Simply install the wall plates horizontally instead of vertically so the item(s) can rest against the support arms.

FlexiStorage plus has been tested to safely support 30kg per level. There are 8 levels therefore the rack in total can support 240kg. The wall plates are normally has been fixed to the wall studs with 125mm bugle batten screws. Its has been calculated that each screw can take an average of 389kg.

Our Warehouse usually dispatches within 2 to 3 business days after every order and then delivery takes approximately another week. Unfortunately, the delivery timeframe is not 100% guarantee since is done by freight companies but as soon as the order leaves our warehouse you will get all the tracking details.  You’re covered for freight so if anything happens during transit like damage or the item gets lost we will replace it for you or offer you a full refund.
